To sustain high nutrition and learning capacity among all children of Contra Costa County who otherwise go hungry during winter closing of school food programs, actively engaging community partnerships for this purpose.
DONATIONS OF ANY AMOUNT ARE DOUBLED IF YOU ACT NOW!
This coming winter break, the need for food is dire for many families in the West Contra Costa County School District. Our community will come together to make a difference! With the incredible generosity of our donors and the tireless dedication of volunteers, Food for Thought will provide nutritious meals, bridging the gap when school meal programs are paused -- to 720 students and their families from 15 elementary schools in the WCCCUSD. PLEASE CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING TO MAKE THIS DREAM COME TRUE!
Working with Food for Thought has been a highlight. The team's dedication is inspiring and makes a real difference.

During these turbulent times in our country and the world, are you looking for a way to help those in need? Do you care about feeding children and their families when they are most vulnerable? Food for Thought of Contra Costa County has been successfully feeding school children since 2011. During the past 14 years, F4T has grown. We are now a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization with a governance board that meets once a month. Our current group of voluntary board members have been actively involved for many years, but of late it has become apparent that we need new members with fresh ideas and new perspectives. Please consider this wonderful opportunity to join an organization dedicated to feeding children.
